E120: Danny Kanell – Florida State, NFL QB, His Years at ESPN, and Future Plans

Danny Kanell attended Florida State University where was a quarterback for 4 years starting out as backup during his freshman year to Charlie Ward. After college he was drafted by the New York Giants at the quarterback position, also playing with the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos. After football Danny started his broadcasting career with ESPN. He hosted ESPNU’s, UNITE and served as color analyst for Friday Night college football games and college baseball. He routinely made guest appearances on ESPN Radio’s SVP (Scott Van Pelt) & Russillo. It was announced that he would co-host The Russillo Show full-time after frequent guest appearances. He took on his role as co-host to the new show Russillo and Kanell in September of 2015 until his departure from ESPN earlier this year when they released approximately 100 staffers in a cost-cutting measure. He’s currently covering college football as an analyst for FS1 and FS2 while making future plans.
