Montee Ball: NCAA Football Legend, Raising Awareness about Addiction

Audio

Montee Ball is currently a free agent in the NFL. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wisconsin, where he was twice recognized as the best running back in the Big Ten Conference and a first-team All-American. Ball held the NCAA Division I-FBS record for most career rushing touchdowns with 77 and the NCAA Division I FBS-record for most career total touchdowns with 83. His football career has been an ongoing struggle as he battled some addiction issues. He recently opened up about the struggle and shared a lot of that in this talk. Admirably, Montee has started a career as a speaker raising awareness about addiction by sharing his experiences and how he has come to manage this aspect of his life as both a professional athlete and now father.
